Keyboard shortcuts
Every HintCall desktop shortcut for Mac and Windows: answer, type, snap the screen, finish the call, move and hide the window, without clicking the overlay.
Checked against HintCall desktop 0.1.1 and the web app on 27 October 2026
How the shortcuts work
- ⌘ on a Mac, Ctrl on Windows. On a Mac, ⌫ is the delete key; on Windows it is Backspace.
- They work while your meeting app or code pad is in front, and they do not take the focus away from it. Only Type does, so you can write.
- Keys marked in front work only while the HintCall window is the active window.
- When the overlay is hidden and no call is running, the keys go back to your other apps and only ⌘/CtrlB stays, so you can bring HintCall back.
- The full list is searchable in the app: ⌘/CtrlShift/, or ⋯ → Preferences → Help → Keyboard shortcuts. If another app is using one of the keys, the list says so.
