Terms of Service
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Refunds, cancellations and how to request a refund are covered in our Refund Policy.
These terms are an agreement between you and Fyrosoft Technologies Private Limited, Bangalore, India (“we”, “us”), the company that runs HintCall. They cover the website hintcall.com, the HintCall web app, the HintCall desktop app for Mac and Windows, and everything else we offer under the HintCall name (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- An account is for one person. Do not share your account or let anyone else use it.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everything done through your account. Tell us at support@hintcall.com if you think someone else has used it.
2. What HintCall is
HintCall is an interview preparation, practice and assistance service.
In the web app the Service includes mock interviews with an AI voice interviewer, scoring and a feedback report, practice for behavioral, technical and coding rounds, and help and support.
In the desktop app the Service includes live interview assistance, which transcribes the questions you hear and shows AI-suggested answers; screen capture, which suggests an answer to a question on your screen (for example a coding or written question) when you press a key; and interview history.
We change the Service over time. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop supporting older versions of the desktop app. When an older version stops working, you will need to update the app to keep using it.
3. AI answers are suggestions, not guarantees
Answers, feedback, scores and other output from the Service are generated by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or unsuitable for your situation. Transcription can mishear words.
You decide what to say, write or submit, and you are responsible for it. Check anything important before you rely on it.
We do not guarantee interview success, a job offer, a better score or any other outcome. Your results depend on you and on decisions made by others.
4. Your responsibilities
- You must follow the rules of the employers, recruiters, interview platforms, schools, exam bodies and other organisations you deal with. Some of them do not allow outside help or AI tools. It is your job to check their rules and follow them.
- When the Service processes audio from a call, you are responsible for following the consent and recording laws that apply where you and the other people on the call are. If those laws require you to tell people or get their consent, you must do so.
- You must have the right to upload or share any content you give us, such as a resume or job description.
- You must follow all laws that apply to you when you use the Service.
5. Things you must not do
- Do not use the Service for proctored exams, academic examinations, certification or licensing exams, or any test whose rules forbid outside help.
- Do not use the Service to pretend to be someone else, or to take an interview or test on another person’s behalf.
- Do not use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent or harmful.
- Do not share your account, sell or resell access, or let others use your credits.
- Do not copy, reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code, prompts or models behind the Service, except where the law allows it.
- Do not try to get around credit limits, billing, security or access controls, or use the Service in a way that harms it or other users. This includes scraping, automated bulk use and overloading our systems.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that contains malware.
6. Compatibility with other platforms
The Service is used alongside video call, interview, assessment and job platforms that we do not control. We do not promise that the Service will work with any of them, or that it will be compatible with, or not visible to, any third-party platform, software or person. Those platforms change often and without notice.
7. Credits, plans and payments
Free plan. Every new account gets 15 free credits. One credit is one minute of a live assistant session or a mock interview.
How minutes are counted. A live session starts counting from the first moment the Service does something for you: the first transcript, answer, typed question or screen capture. It is billed per started minute.
Starter plan (India). A monthly allowance of credits (150 a month, or 130 a month when billed every 3 months). Plan credits reset each billing month and do not carry over.
Unlimited plans (Unlimited, Unlimited Plus, Unlimited Max). No credit count. Instead each plan has fair-use limits: live assistant minutes per day (90, 120 or 180), a longest single session (60 minutes, 90 minutes or 3 hours) and mock interview time per month (2, 3 or 4 hours). Daily time resets each day and does not carry over. An Unlimited plan is for one person on one device; sharing an account or running sessions for other people is not allowed and may lead to suspension.
Subscriptions. Paid plans are subscriptions billed every month or every 3 months, and they renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, except as our Refund Policy says.
Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, and may include or add taxes as shown at checkout. We may change prices. A price change for a subscription applies from your next billing period after we tell you about it.
Payments are processed by our payment providers, Razorpay and PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card number. Your payment is also subject to the processor’s own terms. Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Refund Policy.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you give us, such as your resume, job descriptions, instructions and the text of your interviews.
You give us permission to store, process and send that content to our service providers only as needed to run the Service for you, keep it secure, fix problems and improve its quality, as described in our Privacy Policy.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
9. Our rights
The Service, including its software, design, prompts, content and brand, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law.
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service and to install the desktop app on your own devices, for your own interview preparation and use, under these terms. We keep all other rights.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on, and links to, services run by other companies, such as sign-in with Google, payment processors and the AI and speech providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for those services, their availability or their terms.
11. Availability
We work to keep the Service running, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, fast or free of errors. It can be affected by maintenance, updates, internet problems, your device or problems at our providers.
12. No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including about accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or results.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of job opportunity, offer, income, profit, data or reputation, arising from your use of the Service or from AI output.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event that led to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to cover us, and our directors, staff and partners, for any claims, losses, costs and reasonable legal fees that come from your breach of these terms, your breach of the rules of any employer, platform, school or exam body, your breach of the law, or content you provide.
15. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings in the web app, or by emailing support@hintcall.com from your account email.
We may suspend or close your account, or limit features, if you break these terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect the Service, other users or us. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.
When your account is closed, your right to use the Service ends. Unused credits are handled under our Refund Policy. Sections 3, 8 (feedback), 9, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 18 continue to apply after your account is closed.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell you by email or in the Service before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about these terms or the Service. Before going to court, please contact us at support@hintcall.com so we can try to resolve the problem.
18. General
These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours, for example if our business is sold or reorganised.
