Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This policy explains what information HintCall collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. HintCall is run by Fyrosoft Technologies Private Limited, Bangalore, India (“we”, “us”). It covers hintcall.com, the HintCall web app and the HintCall desktop app.
The short version
- We use your information to run the Service, bill you correctly, give support, keep things secure and fix problems.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not train or fine-tune AI models on your data. We send data to AI and speech providers only to get a result back for you.
- Call recording is off by default.
- In the desktop app you choose where your interview history is kept: in your account, on your device only, or not at all.
- You can delete your account and your content at any time.
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password, or your Google profile if you sign in with Google. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider; we never see them in plain text.
- Preparation details: resumes, job descriptions, your interview setup (such as role, language and your own instructions) and your preferences.
- Support and feedback: messages you send us, feedback and survey answers.
Information from the desktop app
- Audio: during a live session the app captures the audio playing on your computer (the interviewer’s voice) and streams it to a speech-to-text provider to turn it into text. Call recording is off by default, and we do not store this audio unless you turn recording on.
- Questions, answers and transcripts: the questions heard and the AI answers shown. Whether these are saved depends on your interview history choice below.
- Screen captures: when you press the capture key, the app takes a picture of your screen and sends it, with your question, to an AI provider to get an answer. If you keep your interview history in your account, we may also save the capture with its answer to check answer quality; saved captures are deleted automatically after 60 days. We never save captures when you keep history on your device only or turn history off.
- Session and billing records: when each session starts and ends, its length and the credits charged.
- Device and app information: app version, operating system, device type, an installation identifier and the IP address used when you download or install the app.
- Diagnostics: technical events such as connection errors and crash details. These records are designed not to include what was said in your interviews.
Your interview history choice
In the desktop app settings you choose how your interview history is kept:
- In your account: your questions, answers and interview setup are saved to your account so you can review them later.
- On this device only: questions and answers are saved on your own computer and are not uploaded to us.
- Off: no history is kept anywhere.
Whichever you choose, the live service still has to work: audio is still sent to a speech-to-text provider, and your question, with context such as your resume and any screen capture, is still sent through our servers to an AI provider while the session runs. Session, billing and diagnostic records still reach us, because we need them to bill and support you.
Mock interviews
Mock interviews in the web app use an AI voice interviewer. Your voice is streamed to an AI provider that runs the conversation. We save the conversation, scores and feedback report so you can review them.
Website and cookies
Our website uses only what it needs to work. If we add analytics or advertising tools, we will list them here and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
How we use your information
- To provide the Service: transcribe questions, generate answers, run mock interviews and keep your history and setup.
- To bill you: track credits, subscriptions and payments.
- To support you: answer your questions and look into problems you report.
- To fix problems and improve quality, including automated checks of answer quality for sessions saved in your account.
- To keep the Service safe: prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of credits.

- To meet legal duties, such as tax and accounting records.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users. If our business is sold or reorganised, information may move to the new owner under this policy.
- Speech to text: AssemblyAI and Deepgram.
- AI answers, scoring and mock interviews: OpenAI, Anthropic and Google (Gemini), and models we reach through OpenRouter.

How long we keep information
- Account and profile information: while your account is open.
- Interview history, resumes and interview setup saved in your account: until you delete them or delete your account.
- Screen captures saved for quality checks: 60 days, then deleted automatically.
- Payment, subscription and credit records: kept after account deletion for tax, accounting, refunds and fraud prevention, linked to an anonymised account.
- Diagnostics and installation records: while your account is open.
- Data on your own computer: stays there until you remove it.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from Settings in the web app. When you do, we delete your personal content, including resumes, interview history, transcripts, interview setup, mock interview conversations and feedback, and diagnostics. We keep payment, subscription and credit records, linked to the anonymised account, for the legal reasons above. If you cannot use the delete option, email support@hintcall.com from the address on your account.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it or to delete it by emailing support@hintcall.com from the email address on your account. We may need to confirm it is you. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, such as the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Security
Data sent between your devices and our services is encrypted in transit. Our database uses access rules so that signed-in users can read only their own data, and staff access is limited to people who need it. No system is completely secure, so please keep your sign-in details safe.
Where your information is processed
We are based in India. Our service providers process information in other countries as well, including the United States.
Children
The Service is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell you by email or in the Service.
