Create your account and find your way around

One HintCall account works everywhere: the web app at hintcall.com/app, mock interviews in your browser, and the desktop app on your Mac or PC. You never pay to sign up.

1. Open the sign-up page

   Go to hintcall.com/app. The page opens on Create your account. Already have one? Click Sign in under the form, or go straight to the sign-in page.

2. Choose Google or email

   The quickest way is Sign up with Google at the top of the form (it reads Sign in with Google on the sign-in page). Google accounts are verified straight away.

   To use email instead, fill in Full name, Email address and a Password, then click Create account.

3. Verify your email (email sign-ups only)

   We email you a 6-digit code. Type it in and you are in. If it has not arrived after a minute, check spam or promotions, then click Resend code.

Every new account gets 15 free credits, and no card is needed. One credit is one minute of a live interview session or a mock interview. Spend them however you like: a short mock interview first, then a practice run in the desktop app.

Your balance is always in the bottom left of the web app, on the Home page and on the desktop toolbar. For how minutes are counted and what the plans include, see Plans and credits.

After you sign in you land on Home. The sidebar on the left is the map of the whole product:

Sidebar item	What it is for
Home	Your plan, credits, recent live sessions and mock interviews, and a Start mock interview button.
Live sessions	Every question and suggested answer from your desktop sessions, unless you keep history on your computer only.
Mock interviews	Practise out loud with an AI voice interviewer and get a scored report. See Mock interviews.
Plan & billing	Your plan, usage, plans to choose from and your payment history.
Support	Open a ticket and read our replies. Replies also arrive by email.
Settings	Profile, interview preferences, notifications, privacy and data, devices and billing.

The Desktop app card at the bottom of the sidebar opens the download page. Press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl K on Windows anywhere in the web app to search pages and actions.
